Legends Kennels is a Family owned Kennel in North East Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Breeding Top quality ADBA Registered American Pit Bull Terriers off of proven bloodlines from past "LEGENDS" hence, the reason for the name!

Our Kennel is located in the heart of the north woods. We enjoy all four seasons of the year here, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter! We have about 40 acres and our dogs enjoy about 1/3 of it all to themselves.

We have all of our dogs on 15 foot chains and each has a sturdy concrete dog house, concrete food and water bowls with stainless steel inserts for sanitary purposes. They are all on sand, which allows proper drainage and is soft on their paws. In the summer the dog house stay cool, and in the winter we insert heating pads for the dogs so they are nice and warm all winter long even on the coldest nights!

We also have a 32' X 24' breeding building and veterinary care facility just for the dogs. This building is used for Whelping litters, Medical attention that any dog may need, Record keeping, Pedigree work, puppy rearing, Breeding records, health records, and much more in our office area. Along with a weight pull track for working out and training for pull. Storage for Vaccines, Medicines, and other supplies. Dog food and Bedding storage, bathing area and more!!

Our Kennel has a very large exercise and play area. Here the dogs get a chance to run and play off the chain.

We also have a hog catch pen for training our dogs and young pups on various sizes and ages of hogs, this puts the dogs drive, intelligence, and strength to the test!

David Sexton has been involved with animals his entire life, owning about every different type of animal one could have in a lifetime. David owns a retail pet store and has operated it for the past 18 years. Selling and educating people on all types of pet animals. David is the Vice President of North East Wisconsin Herpetological Association, an organization dedicated to the Husbandry of Reptiles and amphibians.  David Started out breeding several different breeds of dogs before the American Pit Bull Terrier found it's way into Mr. Sexton's heart.

David's passion for Pit Bulls has grown over the years, mainly because of the breeds colorful historical past. The drive, intelligence, stamina, power, agility, speed, structure, and all around wonderful nature of the breed is undeniably what makes this a great breed.

David has spend many years researching the different bloodlines, their breeders, and the specific, legendary dogs that made them great. He has tried to bring together some of what is out there today of the most influential blood that made this breed what it is still today. Meeting many of the best breeders of today David gathers as much information as possible when investing in a new dog for his breeding program. He is constantly looking to make that  breeding that may bring about the next of the Legendary dogs that will change the face of this breed in years to come!

David's wife Stacey lends a hand when she can to help with the dogs. She loves playing with the puppies. Well socialized pups are the start of a great dog. This is one area that my wife and I try to spend as much time as we can. Puppies need lots of love!!!

These are two of our old whelping boxes.

They are made of 3/4" plywood and 2x4's.  They measure about 4' x 4' x 3'.

They have heat lamps to warm from above. They also have doors on the front to let the dam's and pups in and out easily.

They are lined with Plas-Tex board, which is a washable surface like fiberglass. We use Kane heating pads 36" x 14" for warmth and protect the cords with a piece of PVC pipe anchored to the side wall.

Pine bedding is nice for the pups once they are old enough to walk around.
